I believe that, just as light disperses shadows, connection and hope supply the antidote to disengagement, anxiety, and isolation. I write stories because we connect to characters and engage with narratives that reflect our own struggles, even if only in the metaphorical sense. Through story, we feel less alone.
Words can educate, entertain, express emotion, and evoke connections. Through words, we can tell powerful stories.
Through stories, we learn to embrace our differences and celebrate our similarities without judgment or resentment.
A photo marks a moment in time and preserves it forever. Some stories are best told visually and with reverence.
Stories light sparks that brighten the dimmest of corners and illuminate the superpowers that make us special.
I tell stories—for businesses, for brands, and most of all for myself. Since man first took a sharpened stone to a cave wall, stories have connected us as human beings. We see ourselves reflected in others’ stories, and furthermore, we use stories to illustrate our beliefs.
- Stories right wrongs.
- A story can inspire emotion and action.
- Stories help us feel less alone.
- Some of the best stories educate us.
For more than a decade, I’ve told other people’s stories, and as a result, I’ve learned how to weave narratives that spark attention and elicit action. As a freelance writer and content marketer, I’ve written thousands of pages, from blog posts and articles to white papers and product descriptions. My clients have run the gamut from Fortune 100 companies to startup solopreneurs.
I love telling my clients’ stories because, with every word, I bring them closer to their goals.
Now I want to tell a few stories of my own.
I founded LJC Press in 2017. Right now, I publish free short stories there, but who knows what it will become in the future?
